Apostille from Michigan

In the U.S. state of Michigan, Apostilles are issued under the Hague Apostille Convention of 1961 by the Michigan Department of State, Office of the Great Seal, located in Lansing. This office, under the authority of the Michigan Secretary of State, is the sole Competent Authority authorized to affix Apostilles on Michigan public documents. Eligible documents include certified copies of birth, marriage, and death certificates (after proper certification by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services or local clerks), notarized documents, court judgments, educational records, and other official papers. The Apostille certifies the authenticity of signatures, seals, or stamps for recognition in all Hague Convention member states.
