Apostille from Florida

In the U.S. state of Florida, Apostilles are issued in accordance with the Hague Apostille Convention of 1961 by the Florida Department of State, Division of Corporations. The Secretary of State’s Bureau of Notaries Public, Apostille/Certification Section, located in Tallahassee, is the sole Competent Authority authorized to affix Apostilles on Florida public documents. These include certified copies of birth, marriage, and death certificates (after state certification), notarized documents, court judgments, educational records, and other official papers originating in Florida. By issuing the Apostille, the Department of State certifies the authenticity of the signature, seal, or stamp for recognition in all Hague Convention member states.
